thanks to Fogo de Chão for hosting "An evening with Junior
Achievement." Fifty-six friends of Junior Achievement enjoyed an
authentic Brazilian dining experience complimented with outstanding

JA Bowlers Saved the Day at the 2011 Superhero Bowl
Many thanks to the company coordinators, team
captains, bowlers, and donors for helping Junior Achievement raise
$44,000 during the Fall Bowl-A-Thon. Your support of Junior
Achievement provides a visible and meaningful demonstration of your
organization's commitment to youth in our community. You are
helping students develop the competence, confidence and character
needed to compete in today's global economy.
The passion for the JA mission and energetic fund
raising efforts were superb! Teams enthusiastically embraced this
year's theme, Superhero Bowl. Participants fashioned terrific
costumes and demonstrated their creativity by designing superhero pins. To review
team photos from the event, select the company name below.
JA would like to recognize the participating
organizations and coordinators:

The JA-in-a-Day program places volunteers in the
classroom to teach the entire JA curriculum in an exciting one-day
event. When companies involve groups of volunteers all going to the
same school, they can bring their experience to hundreds of
students in one location. This event provides a great team-building
experience and a chance for volunteers to give back to their
community.
JA would like to thank the follow companies and
schools who have partnered to implement the JA-in-a-Day program in
recent weeks:

Spotlight:
The
Harvey Najim Family Foundation
Harvey Najim, a successful entrepreneur and
community leader, started the Harvey E. Najim Family Foundation in
2006 to support local children's charitable organizations. Since
its formation, The Najim Family Foundation and Mr. Najim,
personally have awarded approximately $27 million in grants and
pledges to 136 nonprofit organizations serving children in the
greater San Antonio area.
Junior Achievement is excited to announce the
organization continues to receive generous support from the Harvey
E. Najim Family Foundation in support of Capital One/Junior
Achievement Finance Park. Our thanks to Mr. Najim and the Trustees
of the Foundation for their support.
