LBJ
High School Students Give Back
Under the direction of Nina Gomez,
Education & Training; Child Development Teacher, 35 LBJ
High School students delivered the JA Ourselves and JA Our Families programs
to 450 students at Centeno, Roosevelt, Prada and Santo Niņo
Elementary Schools. During the season of giving, the JA Volunteers
felt it was a perfect time for giving back to the community.
They were also excited about volunteering, especially
since most of them would be returning to their former
elementary school. We also want to thank the administration,
faculty and staff at LBJ High School, and all the participating
schools who took part in making this event a successful one.
