JA of South Texas Receives
Peak
Performance
Team
Award
Presented by JA Worldwide, Junior Achievement of South
Texas has earned the Peak Performance Team Award for exemplary
operations during the 2008-2009 fiscal year. To qualify for the Peak
Performance Team Award, an area first had to earn the Summit Award in
both 2007-08 and 2008-09, and achieve the highest combined levels of
student growth, increased market share and total revenue growth.
This recognition reflects the hard work and commitment
to the JA mission by the board of directors, professional educators,
classroom volunteers, financial supporters and staff.

Supporter Spotlight: Accenture
JA Worldwide
announced that the 2009 JA Worldwide Extreme Partnership Award
was presented to Accenture, the global management consulting,
technology services and outsourcing company, and the Accenture
Foundation. The annual JA Extreme Partnership Award was created to
recognize one JA Worldwide board company that has made a
significant, strategic, global impact on all levels of the
organization for at least three consecutive years. Accenture has a
long-standing relationship with Junior Achievement, involving
funding, board participation and volunteer activity. JA Worldwide
is supported by Accenture offices around the world.
In South Texas, Accenture is a strong supporter of
JA through financial contributions, bowl-a-thon participation and
program support. Accenture recently hosted a Job Shadow Day for
students from James Madison High School. Educator Belinda Hill

I want to thank you for providing such an
outstanding opportunity for our Madison students. They came away
with great knowledge and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The things
they learned are invaluable and not found in textbooks. My students
were really impressed during the entire day. The students enjoyed
being paired up with professionals who showed them the workplace
and what they did in their individual jobs. My gratitude goes out
to everyone for making this such a successful day.
